EngineeringClicks started off life as the “Mechanical Design Forum”, which was set up in July 2009. It was inspired by the lack of a simple and efficient online forum where mechanical design engineers could find advice and share knowledge. One day, GarethW, a mechanical design engineer based in Cambridge (UK), decided that it was time to for a change!
As a result, the Mechanical Design Forum was set up to fill that void and to become that definitive internet forum for mechanical design engineers – globally.
The forum has gradually been maturing into a friendly and knowledgeable community and resource. It offers other mechanical design engineers completely free advice and support, and the opportunity to make good connections throughout the industry.
Our members come from all over the world: Australia, Canada, China, India, UK, USA, and more. As of January 2014, we have over 15,000 members – they are all genuine, as all bots and spammers are deleted daily. The vast majority of members are mechanical designers, but we also welcome supply companies, recruiters, and other professionals working in the field.
