Since I was a kid, I have always believed that being a design engineer is the greatest honour and is worth pursuing, perhaps everything and we too seem to be designed. Let me explain.
While in elementary school I mentally designed and physically constructed toys and machine prototypes with crude materials and little formal engineering concepts.
A few years later my teammate and I designed and constructed an excavator and pail loader that won my state laurel at a National Science competition. A few months later I joined a mini firm that designed and fabricated equipment that what many would naturally want to import from oversees.
Thanks to higher education and the software development revolution, I now use various design software such as; AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AMPreVA, AMETank, ANSYS and Schlumberger PIPESIM in my contemporary designs. The good part is that I keep getting better with time.
I also decided to have programming skills, so I now use pieces of software like Python, MATLAB and GNU Octave to complement my designs.
I am conversant with the ASME BPV Codes, API 650, API 620 and AWWA D100 standards for AST’s, TEMA standards for heat exchangers (HE).
Recently, I discovered another passion and skill; I now design not machines this time but with words! I write articles, poems and send for review to The Sun Magazine among other international journals.
I am devout, hardworking, and astute, with good works ethic and great interpersonal skills.
I am currently in the final year of my undergraduate course of study. I am seeking for opportunities to broaden my skills and graduate opportunities too to secure once I conclude my educational program this year.Interact
