hello i am an aluminum alloy manufacturer. i am looking to set up a die casting unit - can any one please advise me what i need to do in order to achieve my goals
Contact NADCA, the North American Die Casting Association (www.diecasting.org). Even though they're based in the US you can probably get a large amount of information from them. Their "job" is to disseminate just exactly this kind of info.
Like NADCA, your country probably has a similar organization. Try there as some important details ( standards etc ) might be different in your country. Also try talking to someone who sells this units - they have to know what you need in order to set up such a unit. Just dont tell them that you are not going to buy one from them
thank you for your replies guys.. was wondering if i can find a forum for aluminum alloy manufacturing
Answer: You need to have a die casting machine (cold chamber or hot chamber). It works by pouring a molten zinc aluminum into the plunger of the machine. This molten alum. alloy is injected into a die (split die-male and female). After the injection the mold splits and the die casted part is ejector pind of the male die.
