      Job Description

      The business built its reputation for excellent customer service by providing consultation throughout the stages of development through to the tailored finish product. The Application Engineer is critical in building and maintaining the partnership between Kubota and their clients as they provide comprehensive technical support to customers at the beginning of the project with regards to manufacturing feasibility and emissions regulations through to the latter project phase where prototype concepts will be tested before being put into higher mass volume manufacturing.

      Key responsibilities will include:
      • Liaise with Engine sales Division's and Engineering departments on commercial and technical matters relating to diesel engines, particularly with a view towards Emission compliance and documentation.
      • Work closely with Sales Account Managers to arrange engines for test and evaluations for OEMs
      • Assist with the modification to diesel engines to meet customer specifications
      • Maintain 'Customer Specification File' to ensure specification and details are correct in line with instructions from Sales and Account Managers
      • Supplies technical information and recommendations on behalf of Sales and Account Managers to OEMs, dealers and end users in relation to installation guidelines.
      The Successful Applicant
      • Background in engineering role working closely with diesel engine technology and testing
      • Excellent knowledge of diesel engine product application/design and performance with a key focus on emissions controls, standards and regulations
      • Competent in completing Customer Specification Sheets
      • Good knowledge of variations between different engine products
      • Ability to communicate effectively both in person and via phone
      • Excellent relationship builder with internal business functions and customers
      • Ability to document results from engineering tests with high degrees of accuracy
      • Strong Administration and I.T skills
