For a Mechanical Engineer, challenges don’t come any bigger than this…

In this role you’ll be responsible for the key capability of a nuclear submarine – the secondary propulsion plant that powers and propels the platform.

Key technologies such as the Electric Cruise Propulsion, Main Turbines, Condensers and Turbo Generators are complex, high precision, multi-million pound systems and you’ll be right at the heart of their design, development and testing.

This is a role that requires your full involvement and in return you’ll be able to progress your career and develop skills as a technical specialist or take management routes as Consultant Engineer, Engineering Manager or Assistant Chief Engineer.
The Local area has some fantastic beaches and areas to live that are 10 minutes to walk from work. The South Lakes is a fantastic area for water sports and walking. Lakeland town of Ulverston is 20 minutes drive away and is a busy market and Festival town with events all year round.
