Calculating the rib thickness

Hello All,,
I wanted to know how to calculate rib thickness and stiffness of the rib and thickness of plate,

For example: if you have to put 500kg mass on steel plate of 2 x2 mt with some ground levelling screws,

In this case how to calculate the thickness of steel plate required tp hold 500kg with out bending and also to make it more stiff in middle to avoid bending or sagging, what thickness and height of rib to use?

I think you have an article on this site on how to do this. If not let me know - I have some literature that i found online somewhere.

 

This is a very difficult stuff.

I suggest to you to see the "Plate Theory".

Sorry but I just cant find it. Sure i had it but I dont really use those calculations so I guess it got lost or somerhing... I hope Piers literature is good enough.
