      How to calculate velocity of air and discharge in blower?

      Q= Air Quantity (cfm)
      A= Face Area (sq ft)
      V= Face Velocity (fpm)

      V= Q/A

      To begin calculation of air velocity you need to draw the velocity triangles. The blade angle and rotor speed will determine the velocity of air. Once the air velocity is determined you can determine the blower discharge by
      Discharge = Area of output x Velocity of air

      The method of drawing velocity triangles will be provided in any book dealing with centrifugal machines. You will have to assume certain parameters for the calculations.
