Further details below: Vehicle Packaging Lead Engineer, Gaydon 12 MONTH CONTRACT (WITH OPPORTUNITY TO EXTEND) I'm currently looking for a contract Lead Vehicle Packaging Engineer with for a 12 month contract working with a leading Automotive company. Working with the Vehicle Packaging Team you will be responsible for packaging activities that could involve various major interior or exterior systems/attributes such as: seating (including 3rd row), people package including clearance and reach, ingress/egress, visibility, luggage compartment, IP, consoles, door casings, pillar trims, headlining’s and carpet/insulation, major under body systems such as spare wheel, sub frames, fuel tanks, exhaust, compressors, reservoirs, towing equipment etc. as well as smaller systems including pipes, hoses and cables. Key Skills • Highly proficient CAD user with 3D visualisation. • Experienced in the use of Visual mock up. • Expertise in Catia V5 & (ideally) TCe trained with good visualisation & engineering skills. • Previous experience in vehicle packaging. • Good visualisation and engineering skills relating to interior systems/attributes and their interactions • Good communicator whilst being comfortable working with a number of different teams and the client. • Objective driven with ability to focus on the solutions rather than just the problem • A working level understanding of Microsoft based systems (MS office suite etc.) • The ability to work autonomously and within a team • An understanding of risk management • Confident in making data driven decisions • Happy to work in a flexible way to support the delivery of the overall objectives This is an immediate requirement with interview opportunity soon after application.
