      Our client is the largest independent provider of repair and maintenance services for thermal turbo machinery and other rotating equipment. The division offers field service, shop-based repair, engineering services, coatings, maintenance agreements, dynamic balancing, machining services, parts and new parts manufacturing for Gas and steam turbines, generators and motors, compressors, hot gas expanders, fans and blowers, draglines, traction motors and other ancillary equipment.

      For our client, in connection with expansion, we are looking to recruit a:

      Turbo Services in The Netherlands provides comprehensive repair, refurbishment, maintenance and new build on rotating equipment on a global basis. As the leading non-OEM provider of turbine repair services, our client offers reliable, effective and efficient solutions to problems on any brand of thermal rotating equipment in several industries; Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petro Chemical refining, Pulp & Paper, Marine, etc.

      In order to further strengthen the service level to their customers and to increase the profitability of the organization, the company has decide to invest significantly into further development of their approach to project management.

      Increasingly, our client has also designed and manufacture new gas turbine components. These activities already generate 20% of our revenues – and they are growing steadily. Would you like to be part of a highly competent and enthusiastic team of 5 design engineers – growing up to 10 in the near future?

      · As a Design Engineer, you are responsible for designing turbine components with complex shapes. You design and model turbine components based on three fundamental aspects: structure, function and operation.

      · You use a variety of available methods for this purpose, including 3D and CT scanning, flow testing and material analysis. Your thinking is project, process and customer-oriented, and you are able to think (self-) critically. You also have excellent three-dimensional insight and analytical ability, and you work in a structured manner.

      And there is one goal behind it all: to satisfy our customer's needs to keep their turbines running – 24 hours a day, all year long. Reliably and with excellent, advanced technology as the key differentiator for competitive gas turbines. Sooner or later, you'll be the top expert for developing new parts, growing into becoming a project leader – and hardly two days will be alike with your fascinating tasks.

      Candidate:

      Are you self-driven, passionate and intrigued by the perspective to contribute to the growth of our segment by delivering highest quality in prestigious projects? Is your thinking project-, process- and customer-oriented? If so, there is much for you to push your own success with stable and long-term career prospects.

      · You have an engineering degree (Bachelor or Master), i.e. at the Dutch HBO level or better, preferably in an associated mechanical engineering discipline

      · At least 2 year's professional experience as a Design Engineer (m/f), ideally in the automotive or industrial i.e. plane turbine field

      · You are familiar with commonly used international drawing standards, and you have experience in 3D design.

      · Experience with Unigraphics NX modelling (version 7.5), as well as experience with modelling complex (double curved) shapes.

      · Another requirement is your command of English, Level 4 at minimum. Additionally, you are willing to learn Dutch (training provided at our cost)

      · You have a strong sense of responsibility, and you translate result orientation into delivering quality.
