      Hello Guys,
I have some elementary questions is mechanic…
The fact is that I am an electrical engineer student and as a project we have to design a controlling car.
But actually I have no information about its mechanical parts.
This car should have these features :
      1. carry 25kg loads
      2. Four wheels with two separated DC motors in front or back wheels ( we need these two motors for turning )
      3. moving forward or backward
      4. Move as fast as possible! (because we will get a bonus mark if we win the final race :D) ( we should use two 12 volt batteries )
So I need some information about :
      1. Dimension of wheels
      2. Dimension of car
      3. Shape of car
      4. The way of connecting the wheels to motors
      5. Power of motors
      6. Or any other data that you think would be essential during the design
To design the car as optimum as possible.
May be some typical reference or handbooks be useful for me.
      Thanks a lot!

see if they will donate parts for your project...

To answer your question(s), input on the environment is necesary. Will the race be done on tile? carpet? dirt? rough or smooth terrain? All have on wheel and motor choices as well as design.

It is on the road as other cars drive on it!
