Job Description Development Engineer(s) Newark, Permanent, Full Time (37 Hours) £25,000 plus an excellent benefits package to include 33 days holiday and discount scheme Due to departmental expansion, we have three excellent career opportunities for full time, permanent Development Engineers for our market leading Newark based client. Job Purpose Perform design, testing and investigation activities that contribute to timely completion of technical projects, as defined by Project Leader(s). The Role(s) The Development Engineer(s) will be responsible for supporting product design and development projects in support of the company’s European operations. In particular you will: Produce drawings for manufacture, estimating and customer reference. Generate basic design information using existing calculation tools. Carry out and monitor test activities and collate test data to ensure successful completion. Carry out designated tasks to support product investigations. Assist in the design and development of new test rigs e.g. pneumatics and hydraulics. The Candidate(s) The ideal candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: HNC or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience working within an engineering related industry. Operating within an ISO9001/TS16949 Quality environment. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office. Operate CAD systems (2D/3D) such as IDEAS, Catia. Knowledge of basic design calculation tools. An understanding of the effective operation and preventative maintenance of test equipment.
