As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Foliage, you will bea key member responsible for the specification, design and transfer tomanufacturing of custom electro-mechanical systems for Fortune 1,000 companiesthat span across a variety of industry domains and platforms. As a hands-on team lead, you will work witha talented multidisciplinary team to design technology-intensive systems andproducts. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsiblefor the specification, architecture, design and transfer to manufacturing ofcustom electro-mechanical systems • Leadmechanical system specification, architecture, design, and validation • Expertwith mechanical CAD tools ( Unigraphics NX and SolidWorks ) • Expertisein two or more technical specialties, ie optics, injection molded component design, mechanismdesign, robotics • Expert with thermal analysis tools ( Cosmos, etc) • Expert with static structural analysis tools (Cosmos etc) • Componentselection and Bill of Materials management • Expertknowledge of manufacturing processes ( Machining, Casting, Sheet metal, PlasticMolding etc) • Vendor /Sub-contractor selection and management (Machined components, Sheet metalcomponents) • Supportthe sales, business development, marketing and other departments technically,as required • Leadcustomer meeting to obtain detailed information related to project requirements Support project planning and estimation • Lead the preparation of project proposals andpresent information to clients • Leadteams of with electrical, software, systems and quality engineers to achieveproject deliverables. • Workingknowledge of industry standards and mechanical design for safety and EMI/EMC • Workingknowledge of regulated development environments Qualifications: • Knowledgeof: Mechanical engineering best-practices for the semiconductor/capitalequipment or medical device industry; basic software and electronics designprocess; manufacturing integration • Highdensity electro-mechanical system packaging.
