I find music mentally stimulating and very useful when working late at night by myself. What kind of songs do you listen to? What is your favourite working song?

I tend to go for something relaxing like country music with two classics, “The Gambler” and “Country Roads”.

It usually depends on the time of the day and the work I am doing.

When I am modelling or drawing something, let’s say in FEM or CAD, I usually listen to music. It keeps my mind focused and makes me work faster (no idea how). Background noise doesn’t work for me. It is more distracting than someone talking to me.

But if I am typing a report or checking documents or making a presentation. Pretty much when I am typing anything I need the room to be super quiet. That is when I am most efficient. Therefore, if I have to type a very important e-mail or report I usually do it at night in my bed, with a cup of coffee.

I am not sure if its just me or other people have situational acoustic needs. I hope there are others. Don’t want to be left alone :3
