Strong team culture, world-class standards … that’s what makes us a world-leading business, winner of the Queens Award for Continuous Achievement in International Trade. We’ve invested in Research & Development, creating pace-setting, clever technology that enables companies to mark their products with use-by dates and tracing codes no matter what the surface, no matter how fast it moves, and no matter where in the world it’s made.

At Domino you will know that you make a difference – working in small, close-knit technology teams in which each individual counts, collaborating with people across a breadth of disciplines. Our roles demand commitment and only the best engineers will have the range and depth of technical and personal skills to succeed.

We are looking for both Senior Mechanical Engineers with team leadership experience and Mechanical Design Engineers. As core members of the R&D multidisciplinary design and development team, you’ll be working on the mechanical development elements of high-tech mixed technology from concept through to delivery and into manufacture, including casings, motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves and fluid-flow delivery control.

Key tasks will include creating requirements and specifications for products sub-systems and components; generating and developing concepts and ideas to resolve technical challenges; creating 2D drawings and 3D models of product and components; identifying components and sub-assemblies for further uses.

Your product design experience must include at least one of:

      Precision mechanism design

      Rapid prototyping

      Injection moulding design

      Fluid flow

Ideally a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer, your wide technical skill base should include 2D and 3D CAD, including 3D modelling (preferably using Pro-engineer Wildfire), and an understanding of modern manufacturing techniques and design procedures.

For the Senior role, you must also have; technical leadership experience in product development covering the full product lifecycle, gained within the design engineering team of a manufacturer of domestic, commercial or light industrial equipment; 3D parametric CAD proficiency; project planning and delivery; FMEA/risk reduction skills; knowledge of statistical test and analysis methods; understanding of HALT test methods and robustness through design practices.
