      MakeSpace is Cambridge's answer to FabLab. Sign up here - http://makespace.org/
      The plan is to get a workshop and 3D printers etc in the next few months. Spread the word http://files.meetup.com/1669256/a5poster.pdf

      In case you don't know what a FabLab is here is the original US version - http://fab.cba.mit.edu/
      Here is the only other FabLab in the UK - http://www.fablabmanchester.org/

      The meeting last week was great fun. Would be good to see some other forum members there next time.

      What a damn good idea. I often think that I would like to manufacture a prototype of my own one day. However, not having space in my living room for a lathe means that something like this could be really useful one day!

      Just to let you all know there is another Cambridge MakeSpace meeting coming up soon.

      Also MakeSpace are looking for people to run seminars/courses/workshops. How about the odd Saturday helping people with CAD questions? Does anyone else want to help? Give them a shout if you based in the Cambridge area and are interested.

      Also MakeSpace is looking for designers/ engineers to get involved and sponsors. So if you know anyone local that would be interested send them over to makespace.org
