MakeSpace is Cambridge's answer to FabLab. Sign up here - http://makespace.org/ The plan is to get a workshop and 3D printers etc in the next few months. What a damn good idea. I often think that I would like to manufacture a prototype of my own one day. However, not having space in my living room for a lathe means that something like this could be really useful one day!
Just to let you all know there is another Cambridge MakeSpace meeting coming up soon. Also MakeSpace are looking for people to run seminars/courses/workshops. How about the odd Saturday helping people with CAD questions? Does anyone else want to help? Give them a shout if you based in the Cambridge area and are interested.
