A pint of the black stuff- Guinness - from the right place. Best pint - Founders Arms in London (E1) Worst - Jongleurs (comedy club)in Leicester... it was off, tasted like oil and made me ill for 2 days!# Oh... and... well, my guilty pleasure - Irish Cream - cheaper the better!
Hmmmm tough question.... Gin and tonic, when i'm on a mission... crappy coors light ice cold on a hot summer day working in the yard... Guinness, from a reputable establishment.
I nice cold carlton draught on tap always hits the spot: If I really want to hit the turps, absinthe is always a winner:
When I was in China a few weeks ago I found a couple of cans of Taiwan Beer in the local shop! It was a nice suprise, but I was disappointed when I tasted it - really not that good at all On a par with any cheapo British lager. Tsingtao is much better out there.
Good single malt Scotch whisky (Dalwhinne and MacCallan are my current favorites), but my budget doesn't run to it that often, which may be a good thing. Gin and tonic on a hot summer day. Usually beer or ale, though (British, Canadian, American microbrews, no Budweiser-Miller megabrew crap), and the occasional bottle of red wine (especially on backpacking trips where a cooler would be kind of inconvenient ) Gin and tonic on a hot summer day.
