Hi guys new to the site, just have a quick question. I'm trying to design a an arm like in a doctors office that holds keyboards or a monitor. I know that they use a gas spring for torsional resistance. I was wondering if anyone could help me get started with the math on something like this.

This is awesome, thank you. I googled quite a bit looking for info, but I couldn't find anything along the lines of this. I really appreciate it and thanks for the help!
