I want to use an strurmy-archer hub gear as a mid drive fro a heavy cargo bike. so that I can have extra low gear for hill climbing.
I don't know if it can take the torque of an electric motor. and maybe ai could use cassett sprockets, but hopefully i will find a stronger chain.

wheel speed should be no more than 20mph in the middle gear maybe less. i know that the low gear needs to be about 10mph or less.

one HP motor and at least 450lbs to 500lbs on 9% grades.

torque has to be within spec, this is it. Such a 3-speed hub can take 50 Nm max. You just have to find out which reduction you need. So you need to calc target input rpm of the 3-speed hub input

OK forget it, I thought about it and decided that the hub gear just can't be strong enough.
