What, if any, purpose would the Geneva wheel be serving?

All I know for sure is that the pin needs to enter the slot parallel to the slot, which means that the circle which describes the pin's motion must cross the circle described by the center point of the mouth of the slot at a right angle. With that constraint it is fairly straightforward to lay it out. a constrained sketch in a parametric CAD package (solidworks etc) should be able to handle it no problem

Sure no problem. What do you need to know? What are you trying move with your indexing wheel and what is your prime mover?

      Hi,

I am currently working with geneva wheel for rotary indexing table, could you help me to design a new one, in order to achieve 5s in every step of the table?

      Thanks
