Hi there, I am an international student in Canada Toronto enrolled in Mechanical Engineering Technician Design Course. I have no experience in this field. I have completed my 3 years diploma in Mechanical. My Question is how can i find a field job after graduating form 2 Years course. I am worried about getting Job. Please Guide me how to Prepare for an Interview and join my Career Path.Most of time i noticed that all the job related to Mechanical Technician requires at least 2 to 3 years experience. Thank you
Have you any experience that you can apply towards the required 2 year? There may be course projects or work you have completed with an instructor to gain experience. Not always do you need to count Mechanical Engineering experiences. Say maybe you have some good leadership experience with a good solid background in engineering you can get your foot in the door. I am not from Toronto but my Co-worker is and he is a registered PE who got his doctorate from Toronto and says there is job market just be willing to move around. Start searching now use websites like http://www.linkedin.com/ to see companies and get to know some of the managers. I have recieved many tours from Engineering Managers by just messaging them on linkedin and asking what daily life is like at the office and after brief introductions get offers to come tour the office.
