I am doing some research into the standards to which hydraulic pipe lines are tested. After going through guides and handbooks a value of 1.5 the working load for a hydrostatic test appears. I am trying to establish a British Standard behind this thinking and have yet to come across the relevant section.

Does anyone know any ISO EN or BS that includes the necessary factors involved when testing?

Or if anyone has any links or information of industry best practises this too would be helpful
