      Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
      · Create 3D models for new components.
      · Assists in establishing design & qualification test criteria to ensure a cost effective product which meets Yamaha performance, quality & reliability requirements.
      · Manages product development so that project stays on schedule and hits target cost.
      · Oversee the fabrication of prototypes and pre-production parts for testing.
      · Coordinate & plan necessary lab and ride testing to develop chassis accessories.
      · Analyze & interpret test results. Summarize test results in engineering reports and decide direction for development of project.
      · Provide suppliers with necessary design information to develop components as needed and to ensure production of quality products.
      · Work with factory race-teams in developing necessary components for race bikes.
      · Able to review designs/drawings of others within the department.
      · May lead and direct others for a specific model.
      Requirements:
      · B.S. Mechanical Engineering required. Advanced degree is a plus.
      · Must possess excellent engineering judgment and analysis skills.
      · Able to multi-tasks and prioritize changing work load.
      · Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
      · Strong proficiency in MS applications (i.e., Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
      · Must be willing to travel internationally to factory in Japan and domestically to suppliers.
      · Must have 5-10 years of relevant component development experience (i.e., brake components, suspension components, windshields, saddlebags, handlebars, foot controls, billet aluminum covers, injection/vacuum mold covers/panels, seats, skid-plates, frame/engine guards, accent parts & etc.).
      · Pro Engineer 3D modeling & FEA experience a plus.
      · Must have experience with ANSI Y14.5, GD&T & Tolerance Stack-up
