We are in need of a mechanical motor. We are in a textile industry. We are looking for a motor that provides an accuracy for both speed and position. It is a type that helps to maximize the performance of the motor. Anyone here who are capable of giving us an idea on choosing the right motor?

Actually looking for an encoder for a rotator motor. It's what is used to roll up the textile before packaging. It's funny, actually, because when I started this thread, I noticed that ad up there for Dynapar. Talk about divine intervention. lol. I checked it out, but have not really made a decision first. Still looking around.

It sounds like you need a servomotor, but you will have to define the required speed, torque, accuracy, etc.

Well, a servo motor for performance, or a stepper, if you want a less premium option

This is a servo or stepper motor, but they are all extremely limited in speed of rotation, and I am not sure that they are high power.

What power of electric motor do you need

What accuracy of rotation do you need?

The fact is that the curve of the frequency and torque of the stepper and servo drive is descending, This means that the faster the rotor of the engine rotates, the lower the torque on its shaft. This is a serious drawback due to which there is no point in producing high-power motors.

A stable, accurate rotational speed is capable of supporting any electric motor, both direct current and alternating current. You can use a DC motor and install an electromagnetic tormaz and an encoder on it. The encoder will allow you to track the rotational speed and you can control it, but the error will be greater than that of the servo or stepper motor. Electromagnetic brake will allow you to quickly stop the rotation if necessary and will also create a force to hold the shaft, just like servo drives and stepping motors. Managing this will be more difficult, but you will get the same opportunities as when using a servo and you can use a powerful motor, but the accuracy will deteriorate a little.

RC servo motor is the best motor which provide maximum accuracy in terms of speed and position..You should once think about it

This definitely sounds suited a stepper or servo. As Vaibhav says - check out servos from remote control cars and planes!
It's just finding something with the speed that you need.

Hello, I was looking for motors for a hybrid electric general aviation aircraft. So its one of my projects. The hybrid works like this, the airplane charges the batteries while we have excess power during take off and then during leveled flight the batteries use the saved electricity. I need a motor that produces 360hp and such electric motors don’t exist, atleast I couldn’t find any.

So I have an engine TSIo-550 B that produces 360 hp and the electric motor needs to be equivalent of thrust producer. We have an electric motor from siemens and it does the job but the power rating is 260KW and weight is dry 50kgs. We don’t mind this but we are looking for any other options available out there that we haven’t heard of.

Especially with higher power rating. We have no size restriction, but total weight must not be more than 120 kgs. Also if its possible we would like to get the contact of the company. Or if you can provide us with a brochure with all the necessary data, that would be great too.

We are also looking for battery suggestions. If anyone has any experience with hybrid aircrafts we would like to know what kind of batteries they use. We still haven’t found the ones we want right now so we are open to all suggestions. Thank you for your help in advance.
