We are currently looking to add a Senior Engineer-Electric Mining Shovels to our Milwaukee location. RESPONSIBILITIES: The qualified candidate will provide system and component level design to meet vehicle performance goals for P&H Shovels including large weldments, machinery, electric and/or hydraulic motor application, sheet metal design, large castings and forgings. Manage and execute projects related to product design from inception thru implementation, which includes feasibility, project planning, detailed design, manufacturing, field implementation, testing, product launch and field problem resolution Provide project estimates for scope, cost, and timing Perform component and system analysis Conduct research for product development, problem resolution, and customer sold order requirements Coordinate and guide work of other designers and engineers Use CAD with large assemblies in a “master model†environment Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate product design and process improvement QUALIFICATIONS: BSME required, MSME and/or PE preferred Must have the ability to manage multiple projects. Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, creativity, project management, communication and analytical skills Experience with Solidworks or other 3D CAD systems; utilize master models Experience with analytical tools for performing FEA a plus Minimum of eight years experience in heavy equipment design required, mobile equipment preferred Must have a strong mechanical aptitude, innovative perspective and a team focus Must have analytical, project management, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills Ability to travel both internationally and domestically, about 10-15% Please inquire to [email protected] if you are interested!
