      Hi all,

I'm working on an assembly file in Solidworks 2010, and want to insert a subassembly. This subassembly has moving (hinged) parts, but when inserted, the assembly appears to be ridged. In Inventor there's a 'make flexible' option in a drop down menu to allow subassemblies to move and hinge etc properly. How do I do this in SW2010?

      Solved my own question!

      FYI:

Right clicking on the subassembly either in the part tree or the model, and selecting the <Component Properties> icon (was looking for a properties text menu option - doesn't exist...) then select the <Solve as Flexible/Ridged> option as required.

      Happy assembling!
