My name is Nick and I live and work in Brooklyn NY.

I somehow keep finding myself working with and designing electronics and hardware for various companies over the last several years, so I thought I would dip my toe in the large communities around these industries which I've been calling home.

I'm currently working for an interactive art and design firm based out of Brooklyn NY. The company is comprised of an artist who thinks up the ideas for permanent and temporary sculptures, and a small team of us who make them real. The pieces are typically a combination of addressable LEDs, an interactive component (proximity/motion sensors), networking (typically wireless), and distributed computing (MCUs). My role in all of this is mechanical design of the art pieces, as well as the electrical design; managing most aspects from sourcing to production.

In past lives, I've worked in light robotics aimed at education, developed drones for mining, was kicked off of the set of Mad Max 4, and have been covered head-to-toe in punch-buggy grease. Personally, I dream of riding small motorcycles through Central and South America, building a home out of upcycled shipping containers, and helping the next generation appreciate electronics and engineering.

I'm always trying to push my skills and understanding of my craft, and am excited to absorb all sorts of insight from EngineeringClicks, and maybe even be of some use to you.

      Thanks for hearing my spiel!

      Nick
