The core business of our client is developing and manufacturing high-tech mechatronic (sub) systems. The department from this job opportunity isresponsible for the specification, design and engineering of high tech/precision modules, professional products and capital intensive equipment. The department consists of a number of competence groups, such as Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Software and Project management. In multi-disciplinary project teams they specify, design, develop and qualify the professional products for thei customers. Description The Lead Engineer Precision Mechanics specifies and delivers a high level system architecture for the new professional products and enables the optimal functionality and cost effective engineering of these systems. The main tasks are related to the Development process. - Feasibility phase: Study the Customer Requirement Specifications (CRS) and investigate the feasibility of mechanical concepts. - Definition Phase: come up with Description of System Design Requirements and Specifications (SDS). - System Design Phase: come up with system design concepts: - Come up with well-considered choices, validated against system requirements. - Definition of high level modules and related technical interfaces. Monitor that projects stay within agreed - Specifications. Make use of your creativity and helicopter view to find solutions in case of conflicts. - Detail Phase: Lead a (small) team of designers - System Verification: Verification of design / the chosen concept on the requirements. - Production release: Release the design for production. Requirements As a candidate for this position, you have: - At least 5 years of experience in creating new equipment concepts (or large complex modules). Experience with design principles, dynamic behavior, motion control, thermal behavior, material properties. - Basic knowledge of (FEM) calculations in the area of thermal management, flow control and static design - Experience with 3D design tools (preferably NX or PRO-E) and TeamCenter. - Experience with Matlab/Simulink or related development tools Interested?
