Hello all. I’m currently looking into the best methods for measuring on site pipe work short of 3d scanning.

Say there is a flange from a valve and it needs to be routed to another part of the premises, through walls etc. What is the best practice for this? Taking into account the difference in ground levels and squareness of connecting flanges etc.

Is there a book or resource for this? What tools are a must for this scenario? Appreciate any tips.
