Consulting Mechanical Engineers, Barair Systems Limited, are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. Our small engineering company (established over ten years ago) requires an enthusiastic, motivated individual who wishes to progress there career and work with a highly skilled team of Qualified Engineers.
Role Description
Answerable to the Senior Engineer, the candidate will be formulating bespoke conceptual solutions as part of the team. These concepts will then be taken by the appointed person and developed into 3D solid models on Solidworks. Following internal and external client reviews, these models will be developed into high quality, detailed engineering drawings. In some cases, smaller machines will be built in house. The successful applicant, must have the skills to realise their own design and have the ability to assemble them to a high standard.
Candidate Requirements
Ideally the candidate will have come from a Mechanical Engineering apprentice trained background, with a firm foundation in practical machining and fitting skills. The successful applicant will have experience of designing bespoke machinery using Solidworks from initial conceptual design, solid modelling through to producing quality, detailed mechanical engineering drawings to BS308 (essential). The applicants must have excellent English and communications skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a close knit team. The applicant must have the ability to confidently and professionally represent the company with clients and suppliers alike.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC and general automation systems is desirable but not essential.
