      If you have:

      - An engineering, physics or mathematics degree – higher degree qualified preferred
      - Experience in in working with sub-contractors & vendors within ISO13485 and 21CFR 820 compliant quality systems
      - Deep understanding of mechanical design and manufacture principles for high-volume consumable products including thermodynamics, static and dynamic mechanics, tolerance analysis and, design for assembly
      - Experience of developing instrumentation for medical devices
      - Familiar with high-volume manufacturing processes and equipment
      - High familiarity with 3D CAD and associated analysis tools, SolidWorks literate to expert level

      We can offer you a role working for the global leader in rapid diagnostic and health information solution where you will design and test instruments for medical diagnostic devices including formal design verification / validation testing and transfer to high volume production.

      Your focus in this role will be on instruments for infectious disease diagnosis products, particularly products based on isothermal amplification techniques.

      As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will design and test mechanical aspects of instruments for medical diagnostic devices which include overseeing formal design verification / validation testing and transfer to high-volume production.

      You will liaise with marketing, to understand the key user and functional requirements of the instrument. Liaise with consumable design engineer to define robust interfaces between consumable and instruments.
