We are seeking a full time degreed Mechanical Design Engineer for our growing medical device client located in Central Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mechanical engineering in the design of products and provide design solutions with a focus on design, analysis, DFx, documentation, prototyping, verification, and new product introduction. The candidate will also be responsible for driving improvement into the design process, including the implementation of design standards. Must have a strong experience in design engineering and be a seasoned engineer. Requirements: • BS, MS in Mechanical Engineering • 7+ years in mechanical design, and analysis with experience in product development within a Phase Gated Product Life Cycle process • Technical proficiency in mechanical design, and analysis, with emphasis on mechanics for motion control systems, metal finishing, engineering plastics, fastening techniques, sheet metal, injection molding, electronics packaging, and manufacturing practices • Knowledge of material as related to engineering metals, plastics, adhesives, and plating technologies is desired • Experience with medical devices and knowledge of FDA Quality System and Design Control is desired • Experience with 3D CAD design and in particular SolidWorks® for design and documentation • Documented success in the use of Finite Element Analysis for solving mechanical and thermal design issues • Documented history of successfully deployed products, meeting performance and cost targets • Proficient in DFM, DFT, FMEA, and Failure Analysis principles • Experience in design for serviceability, modularity, usability, and aesthetics desired Please send resume to [email protected]
