      Our client is a leader in nuclear measurements and instrumentation with over 40 years experience in their field.

      The job role is to produce CAD design layouts and subsequent manufacturing drawings for instrumentation.
      Although the equipment is mainly electronic, the main requirement is to provide mechanical engineering input to the design process.

      - To Progress design projects from initial R&D brief, to concept, and on to full manufacturing drawings
      - To make effective use of CAD tools to complete designs and drawings in a timely manner
      - To accurately produce manufacturing drawings in full accordance with IEC Standards, suitable for cost effective manufacture
      - To carry out changes and modifications to support and update existing designs
      - To carry out any investigation and liaison as may be required, in conjunction with the manufacturer, to produce a cost effective design

      - Completed relevant apprenticeship and/or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
      - Significant 2D CAD and/or drawing board experience
      - Significant relevant mechanical design experience
      - Significant 3D solid modelling experience (preferably with either Mechanical Desktop or Inventor software)
      - Must possess a sound understanding of a wide variety of manufacturing processes, techniques and materials.
      - Ability to work independently in all areas of this role.
      - Must be able to plan multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
      - Must be fully conversant with AutoCAD 2D & 3D Modelling.
