Mechanical Engineer – High Vacuum Systems – South Coast – REF 241564

Salary / benefits: DOE, up to £32k, plus benefits
Job Term: Permanent / Full Time

Job Outline:

A leading manufacturer and distributor of vacuum chambers, deposition systems and components is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical components, equipment and machinery using CAD Software.
Product development work may include design of products such as vacuum chambers, sub-assemblies, systems, robots and machines.

You will be involved in the full product life cycle from concept to design, development, prototyping and testing of the products.

You will also be responsible for project and budget management and creating Bills Of Material.

The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background, with problem solving and project management experience, gained within a similar environment in mechanical design and product development.

Experience in vacuum technology, project management, quality management and ERP systems is preferred.

Experience:

The successful candidate will be experienced in 3D CAD design, using packages such as Solid Edge or similar.

Candidates with experience in vacuum technology are preferred.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in Engineering or a related discipline.
