      Mechanical Design Engineer (Valve/Pump/Pipe & Vessel company, based North Devon, salary to £34K plus company bonus.

      Mechanical Design Engineer (Innovation Engineer) - 3D CAD Inventor - FEA -
      experience in valve / pump / pipe and vessel manufacturing - oil, gas, petrochemical
      and power processing industries .

      We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who is an expert user of 3D CAD
      using Autodesk Inventor and who is used to working with finite element analysis
      preferably ANSYS and CFD computational fluid dynamics.

      Educated to degree level or HND in mechanical engineering or a design discipline, the Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have had design experience in a valve / pump / pipe and vessel manufacturing company producing products for the oil, gas, petrochemical and power processing industries.

      A track record of developing products specifically to meet customer's needs is desirable and, ideally, candidates will have worked directly with Customers to solve their technical requirements and have had some practical workshop experience in an engineering manufacturing business.

      Reporting to the Innovation Manager, the Mechanical Design Engineer (Innovation Engineer) will be required to develop new and improved products and processes and create and formulate innovative product proposals based on technologies/trends and customer/marketplace needs.

      All candidates should be at an advanced level with Excel and have excellent written, oral and presentation skills and the ability to prepare detailed and analytical reports.
