OceanLED products are certified by industry approval societies such as Rina, Lloyds and ABS through either Type Approval or Design Appraisal Process (DAD). We currently have 2 opportunities to join our R&D team in this prestigious and exciting industry. Mechanical Design Engineer (Graduate) This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging role, supporting the R&D team with key research and development in a market that demands very high standards and tolerances due to the nature of the product environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with class requirements and legislation and will be able to work under your own initiative and solve challenging design problems. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to develop in a prestigious and growing industry. Mechanical Design Engineer We have an opportunity for an experienced design engineer to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing challenging design projects from concept to launch, will have a strong work ethic and be comfortable working to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, work well either alone or in a group, and be required to provide project status updates to Senior Management. This is an exciting role in a growing prestigious industry. Key skills requirements include CAD (solidworks), at least 2 years’ experience in mechanical design, a 2:1 Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master Degree preferred), high attention to detail and an understanding legislative and approval body requirements.
