It manufactures a diverse range ofimmersive visual solutions and offers complete turn-key solutions to client’sexact requirements. Due to growth and expansion the company requires further DesignEngineers on a permanent basis to join the business and work on a variety ofclient projects. You will use yourextensive knowledge of CAD systems, specifically Inventor to create displaysystems for a varying range of solutions from advanced 3D virtual realitythrough to entertainment markets on both flat and curved screens. The role is UKbased in the midlands, however you will work on designs for global projects. Your ability to work creatively under pressure and toclient deadlines will be key to your success in this role. Individuals from outside this sector who have Master level experience inusing Inventor, advanced training in Mechanical Engineering and open to learning newskills are welcome to apply. Duties Include: •Designing projection based displays for both proposal and projectphases based on given client specifications and architect drawings. •Using master 3D models to generate 2D drawings and renderings •Creating parts list and BOM information for manufacturing purposes •Mechanical/Structural design for equipment placement and mounting inc FEAreports •Optical design for optimal placement of equipment and analysis of systemperformance. •Design, build and erect rigs from detailed drawings and provide detaileddrawings to the engineering team to support installation activities. Professional &Personal Competencies: Successful applicants should have: •Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or CTS-D certification •Indepth knowledge of Autodesk Inventor •Experience of working with Architect drawings and building plans •Ability to write Engineering reports and project documentation •Previously carried out site surveys and installations and undertakencustomer/client meetings Experience of using 3DMax and/or Maya packages will be a distinctadvantage in this role although this is not a pre-requisite. You will need to be flexible, outgoing and organised to succeed in thisrole as well as demonstrate strong people skills and innovative thinking.
