This position is for a profitable, privately-help company in San Diego. The Candidate must have experience with plastics and movable parts in high volumes.

This person must also be technically proficient with Microsoft Office products, Pro-E, Solid Works, Autocad Inventor and Moldflow software is a requirement for this position. A strong background in the design of plastic parts and design as it relates to manufacturability and assembly. A strong background and understanding of the processing of plastics and metals as it relates to molding and forming along with all associated secondary finishing technologies.

S/he will have demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced team environment, and the ability to lead the NPD team in problem solving to optimize performance. S/he must be experienced in making products for high volume production where cost control, reliability and manufacturability is critical, while maintaining very aggressive schedules.

The Mechanical Engineer will be an intelligent, competent individual with integrity and accountability. S/he will be highly motivated, competitive, self-confident, and entrepreneurial. S/he will have strong written and verbal communication skills. He/she will have strong interpersonal skills. A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering or equivalent experience is desired.
