      Position: Mechanical Design/Drafting (level 2)
      Location: Tarrytown, NY 10591
      Duration: 7 – 8 month contract


      Job Description:



      • Designs, develops, and implements new products or changes in existing products.
      • Creates layouts of semi-complex systems, designs and details piece parts, assemblies mechanisms for Medical Diagnostic instruments using NX CAD application.
      • Must be experienced using NX CAD application.
      • Position requires ability to conceive, design, detail, and construct various mechanical components and assemblies using CAD program.
      • Must be experienced integrating custom and commercial components into a finished product.
      • Must be knowledgeable in ASME Y14.5-1994 standard and be experienced using Geometric Tolerancing.
      • Must be familiar with a wide range of manufacturing processes including designing for machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, and injection molding.
      • Participates in maintaining detailed and comprehensive records of all ideas, designs, and basic improvements.
      • Performs important areas of standard professional level work that typically require processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly-defined issues.
      • Ability to perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, etc. in order to support design decisions preferred.
