      The Mechanical and Product Design Engineer/Project Manager applies extensive technical expertise to develop new and improve existing product designs. Product design includes development, analysis, prototyping and testing.

      JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
      •Plans, conducts and implements product research, development, prototyping and testing to create superior designs of new or upgraded products, using 3-D CAD modeling and drawings.
      •Performs extensive engineering design analyses to determine appropriate targets and tolerances for product specifications.
      •Works closely with a wide variety of internal and external customers to define, meet, or exceed design parameters.
      •Develops and implements production and technical support in product design process.
      •Provides technical recommendations for product line.
      •Communicates technical concepts and information clearly and effectively through formal and informal documents, in non-technical terms as appropriate.

      QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
      •A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including exposure to and proficiency in multiple engineering disciplines.
      •Advanced knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes highly preferred.
      •Solid hands on experience with FEA, SPC, and high speed assembly fabrication analysis desired.
      •Experience with heat treat metallurgy is a plus.
      •Adept at problem solving; must be proactive and action oriented for timely problem resolution.
      •Strong oral and written communication skills.
      •Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
      •Exceptional organization, time management and multi-tasking skills are essential.
      •Proficiency with 3-D modeling is required (Pro-E or SolidWorks preferred).
      •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
      Additional Skills Sought:
      Experience with moving parts
      GD&T experience
      Knowledge of calcuations
      Exp. With FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is a plus
      Exp. With Dynamics Analysis
      Project Management exp.
      Knowledge with stamping and heat treated metals preferred

      •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree is required.
