Is it possible to calculate the modal mass form a modal analysis in Creo Simulate? I know how to get mass participation factors from a dynamic random analysis, but this won't work for my present problem since I want the unconstrained modal masses and I don't have a base excitation function. Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Thanks

This problem has taken an interest to me. First if you could elaborate on the details of the simulation you are interested in would be helpful or interesting to my curiosity. I am just thinking about how to solve this problem mathematically and not sure if Creo's solver would even have the ability to. I know I have seen simulations conducted on ANSYS and LS-DYNA and not sure if you could leverage Creo to do a simulation even with manipulations.

Sorry this is not much help, Creo was really not design for these type of simulations. I have had terrible results with modal analysis in Simulate and always stick to ANSYS based solvers.
