      Company: Based out of Canada, my client is an industry leader when it comes to the business of manufacturing, maintaining, and repairing plastic injection molds. They have 400+ highly skilled team members operate out of 3 locations with 7 facilities throughout North America and are an expert in areas such as Standard Injection, Multi-shot, Rotary Stack, Compression Tools, Magnesium Injection amongst others

      One of their fastest growing locations opened 8 years ago with a staff of 4, and has expanded to 80 and continues to grow and are in need of an experienced Mold Designer.

      Your unique role with the company:
      Responsible for taking direction/line ups from both the Design Leaders and the Engineering Manager, you will be working with Surfacers, to progress the Tool from Feasibility through to the final design, using various problem solving tools and completing scheduled task dates to deliver quality projects on time.

      • Taking line-ups from both the Design Leader and the Engineering Manager as required
      • Questioning line ups as required to fully understand workload objectives
      • Keeping “Continuous Improvement†in mind in regards to designing tools
      • Monitoring personal “Planning Summary†in Shoptalk to keep projects on track
      • Replaying any information regarding updates to Surfacers form reviews they did not attend
      • Presenting yourself in a competent, professional manner during customer interaction
      • Promoting a team atmosphere within the department
      • Ensure designs meet customer and internal standards
      • Help train lesser skilled personnel as requested


      What we are looking for:

      • A minimum of (5) years of Mold Design
      • Intermediate understanding of CAD software
      • Intermediate computer and problem solving skills
      • Previous 5 axis experience
      • Software use of Cimatron, Powermill, Tebis
      • Team first attitude and mentality
      • Career driven mentality, desire to grow as company grows and expands
