Their organization generates over $100 million in global sales, with employees located in Europe and the U.S. Responsibilities of Electrical/Mechanical Engineer: â€¢ Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties. â€¢ Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators. â€¢ Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components. â€¢ Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. â€¢ Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. â€¢ After designing, development and testing, completes project by providing training on assembly to mechanics and technicians. â€¢ Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. â€¢ Influence over processes through development, troubleshooting, testing, training and manufacturing of product. â€¢ International travel for training and business purposes. Required Skills: â€¢ B.S. in Electrical Engineering or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering highly preferred. â€¢ Minimum 6 years hands-on industry experience with degree. Minimum 10 years experience without degree. â€¢ Must have exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to work with raw materials. â€¢ Highly effective communication is a must, as must be able to do process planning, write down detailed process information, and communicate those processes to the team. â€¢ A strong background in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, or any combination thereof, is expected. â€¢ Must be able to work on own in designing and developing new technology through the use of tools and test equipment provided. â€¢ Must have ability to efficiently provide solutions and ability to stand behind solutions and recommendations. â€¢ Required ability to understand mechanics behind unique assembly of product, while working collaboratively alongside team and effectively communicating with team. â€¢ Must have valid passport for travel to Europe within 60 days of hire. â€¢ Must possess proficient ability to disassemble and assemble small parts for mechanical and electronic assembly. â€¢ Must be authorized to work in the United States.
