      Job Description:
      The Mechanical/ Mechatronics Design Engineer is a Permanent, Direct Hire opportunity with a leading company in Minster, Ohio.


      Job Duties:

      • Individual will be involved in the initial design, product development and testing of new products.
      • These items include product specification definitions, mechanical design, and component selection to optimize new product performance.
      • Candidate will also provide technical assistance to other departments and our customers.
      Qualifications:
      • BS in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline is required. A Masters degree is a plus.
      • 5 to 10+ years of experience in the mechanical design of industrial machinery is required.
      • 5 to 10+ years of experience interfacing mechanical and electronic/electro-mechanical is required.
      • Working knowledge of large fabricated machinery including: weldments, castings, machined parts, and power transmission components. Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience is required.
      • CAD experience required in creating 3D parts, assemblies and 2D drawings. SDRC I-deas or Unigraphics experience is a plus.
      • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, Closed Look Control, or FEA a plus.
      • Familiarity with PLC code using Allen Bradley, Siemens, or other program language a plus.
