      Hello everyone
I am a non degreed multi discipline designer. I enjoy working in solidworks and autocad. I have designed remote control helicopters with small CNC parts (see www.quickworldwide.com) and structural hydraulic and electric anti terrorist barriers. I work from home presently designing small business projects and creating proposals. I like to write code in what used to be my spare time though now my sparse spare time seems to be concerned with trying to ally with other conservatives to save our country or prepare for what happens if we can't.
I have not worked in architectural design but I like to design earth sheltered homes and buildings as a hobby. I study alternative energy, materials, and construction methods for fun and try to see if they can be successfully applied to improve our dwellings or see if they lead down the wrong path down the road.
I believe in many ways we should return to some of the old ways of doing things, yet with all the advantages of good technology and knowledge gained over the years. I can't imagine for instance doing without the internet, yet I could live without a fancy car , home, and/or the city lights. I have a so far unique belief that cities are places meant for commerce, trade, and getting in touch with people and they should not be places where people live crowded into a small area. I feel the biggest reason and first scientific principle which applies to this is one we learn in kindergarten and that is: "don't put all your eggs in one basket". There are other principles which apply but they are for serious discussions on the topic amoung those who would take it seriously, suffice it to say if we had kept a very rural lifestyle the last 50 years we would all be in homes with independent power generation and no utility bills.
One of my favorite pet projects is to develop a system to grow a home with robotic technology.
