The successful candidate will be a member of the Grinding Mill design team with primary responsibility to support the project teams in designing grinding mills. The grinding mill design team is controlled by the grinding mill core design office in Oslo As Project Design Engineer - Grinding Mills, you will: Be responsible for grinding mill design including: Technical support to our global Project offices and Service Centers Design and drafting of components and assemblies Calculations for customer drawings Check and approve drawings Technical documentation of the mills including safety and specifications Redesign of components for existing equipment Update/Upgrade of existing equipment based on current day’s technology Support spare parts sale and service Update the technical documentation for existing equipment Drawings for Sales support R&D work related to grinding mills To succeed, you will need: B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering Couple of years experience in engineering of heavy equipment (desirable) Experience in design of rotating equipment or structures subject to fatigue (desirable) Relevant experience is an advantage, but we encourage newly qualified engineers to apply Good spoken and written English language skills (working language) High level computer skills Professional usage of AutoCAD and Solid Works Knowledge of MathCAD is an advantage Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes Ability to work independently We are looking for a self-directed person who can work independently and effectively in a multi-cultural global matrix organization.
