This is Veli Pekka from Finland, I have been working in the field of designer for over 34 years, all the time the same company. Mostly I have worked with the material-handling equipment and lines, typically different types of conveyors, lifting equipment, storage systems and dosing to glass-, insulation products- and basic metal industries.
Welcome Veli! It's quite an international group here, as you'll see from looking through this thread. Sounds like you have a lot of experience. There's a lot going on in the forums, everything from 2d/3d CAD to manufacturing to discussions about technical calculations, so your expertise will be very welcome, and you should be able to find answers to any mechanical design related problems you can think of!
I'm from the US, but currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm basically a freelance engineer, so I've been working with people from Europe and North America, as well as Argentina.
Originally the UK, but for the last 17 years South Africa. Love it, especially now that I've been lucky enough to move to Cape Town. Which, heads up, is this years design capital of the world... Don't get me started, we still don't have even a single DMLS machine in the City
