I am in the appliance business and I have been trying to figure out how I can make a portable washing machine
testing device so I could go test washers I have at storage units without having a water hookup. I know nothing about engineering and understand I would need a tub of water, a pump, and it would drain back into the tub recycling the water thus allowing me to test washers. Can anyone help me on figuring out how to create such a device. I know nothing about engineering and getting an engineer's perspective on how I could create this is most important to me. Thanks.

You may need another pump to pump the drainage back into the reservoir. I am thinking of a pickup truck mounted system with a tank to hold enough water to fill the kind of washers you are testing, a power generator to power the pumps plus the washer, (am assuming if there is no water there may be no power as well)

I agree with the other Zak. The issue I see is that you need to be able to move enough water to the machine and unless it's a ridiculous set up on the back of a truck moving it by hand either won't be possible or worth it.
