in nuclear power plant we use steam turbine or steam engine to generate electric power
What you call a steam engine is more precisely called a Reciprocating steam engine. Meaning it has pistons that go up and down.
Reciprocating steam engines are essentially obsolete and have not been used since about 1950.
Nuclear plants use steam turbines.
