We are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead a new medical device design project here at Altran. Then you will continue to grow a team of other engineers in other design areas. The Principal Engineer performs broad based mechanical design and development including: engagement and requirements assessment, mechanical architecture design, key components selection, as well as planning for integration and test. Also important is the ability to support new business development initiatives. Success in this role is predicated on an individual’s ability to contribute technically across a broad spectrum of technologies, and in industries with varying regulation environments. Go to altran-na.com to apply Primary Technical Responsibilities: Design and development of complex electromechanical systems for regulated medical, industrial, automotive and aerospace verticals Working with cross disciplinary teams to author system requirements and mechanical performance specifications Lead technical teams from initial design to final product delivery Knowledge of Mechanical engineering design best-practices for the Medical Device industry; Semiconductor equipment design; Safety and Ergonomics standards; manufacturing integration Creating integration plans to outline tasks and sequences for the implementation of new process controls Assisting in drafting test plans and verification procedures for mechanical systems and component verification Leading and/or providing technical peer review as required Identify, track, and assess risks and mitigation plans
