I own a galaxy note2 and acer a100 and wanted to bring my 3d modelling skills to some personal use and wanted to design some cases for each of them. The problem is I cant find any detailed dimensions for either.

I found such drawings for apple products but not for these. Has anyone done such modelling and can share their experience.

Have you tried searching in user generated CAD resource websites such as Trimble 3D Warehouse, 3D Content Central, GrabCAD, Traceparts, Instructables, or Shapeways? I don't personally use these but I have them bookmarked in case I ever needed some generic files.

Actually don't fully trust the model you get from these websites. The data I got from Grabcad was wrong when I was designing a case for IPAD2.

If it is available to you a 3d scanner is by far the easiest.
